Take a stroll past P & T stores this winter and you will find yourself facing paper portals into the imaginative world of Lucila Biscione. The work of artist, born in Buenos Aires and based in Berlin, is characterized by a combination of elaborate papercut, refined illustration and other techniques to transform paper into a story.
During a recent discussion in her studio in Prenzlauerberg, she reminded us of the importance of being present. Touching back onto the memory of a moment sparks the best of her ideas. As her work develops she realizes the references of people, objects and emotions that has been given from her past observations.
Taking inspiration from our recently launched P & T Master Blends, Lucila Biscione has used used both P & T store fronts to display her interpretations. Her biggest work to date, the papercut drapery at our Charlottenburg store is a theatre piece. Smaller, stand-alone pieces are placed within our store interior, with each frame seeming to nudge a nostalgic part of our sensitivity. We welcome you to pop in and browse through our contemplative surroundings.
Each piece is available for purchase, please consult our tea-ists in store.
