Tea Cocktails

Mix up something special with white tea vodka, made using our Vodka Tea Infusion Kit.

Our newly launched Vodka Tea Infusion Kit is the result of many months of taste testing various vodka-tea combinations — tough job, but somebody had to do it. Along the way, we naturally developed a taste for spiking our cocktails with tea, and even developed a few unique recipes of our own. Like this one, a citrusy white tea blend (with a surprise ingredient) that we’ve dubbed The Bittersweet Truth.

Makes 1 Drink:
Made with home-infused white tea vodka, this drink brings together the hay-fresh, woody-sweet flavor notes of our Pu Er Bai Ya tea with a healthy dash of citrusy zing. The addition of orange marmalade adds not only sweetness but also a contrasting bitter note.
45 mL (1.5 oz, or 1 shot)  infused Pu Er Bai Ya vodka (made with our Vodka Tea Infusion Kit, as in the pictures above)
1 heaping teaspoon Seville orange marmalade
2 teaspoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
dash of Angostura bitters
150 mL sparkling water
1 organic, unwaxed orange
Plop the marmalade into the bottom of a tall, clean jam jar and add a generous splash of Pu Er Bai Ya white tea vodka. Using a spoon, whisk the marmalade until it’s fully dissolved, then add the rest of the vodka and the lemon juice. Shake in a generous dash of Angostura bitters and top with the sparkling water.
Using a vegetable peeler or sharp knife, slice a wide strip of zest off the orange. Squeeze the peel between two or three fingers and let the essential oils drip into the drink, then swipe it around the rim of the glass and finally drop it in. Give the drink a final, quick stir. Sip slowly while picturing the sunny orange groves of Seville.
Note: you can either mix the drink using well-chilled vodka and sparkling water, or add a few ice cubes as the final step before stirring.
