INTRODUCTORY

A chance to take the first steps into the world of fine tea from the comforts of your home. We will cover tea origins, brew and taste three types of tea while learning to evaluate sensory characteristics.

Workshop P & T x Mrs T

SNACKS & APPETIZERS WITH TEA

Tea can be used to prepare fantastic snacks & appetizers in the kitchen. Brewed tea leaves can be turned into sweet and sour pickled tea leaves (pickles) or can be processed into a fantastic herb butter. In this workshop we will discover which teas are ideal to combine with cream cheese, to use as a crunch or to refine a marinade by using small snacks & appetizers.

Learn to enjoy the many nuances of high quality teas in 90 minutes by paying particular attention to their sensory characteristics. This will refine your sense of taste and who knows - maybe you will come across your new favourite recipe!

KOMBUCHA WORKSHOP

Kombucha is fermented tea and a nutrient-rich soft drink that not only tastes good, but also has a probiotic effect and contains many antioxidants, vitamins, enzymes and amino acids. Originally from China and Japan over 2000 years ago, Kombucha is now consumed by millions of people around the world and is said to aid digestion, energize and detoxify, and strengthen the immune system.

This workshop includes the following topics:
- What exactly is kombucha and why do so many people drink it?
- The basics of self-brewing and flavouring
