Kukicha green tea is a Japanese specialty made exclusively from the stems and delicate twigs of the tea plant. Our KUMANO impresses with fresh, grassy notes and a pleasantly mild aroma, making it perfect for both green tea newcomers and connoisseurs.

To preserve the delicate flavors of Japanese green tea, avoid using boiling water. You can steep our KUMANO several times to fully explore its subtle and complex notes.

The processing

Our KUMANO is a high-quality Karigane version of the traditional Kukicha stem tea. It’s made only from the stems, stalks and twigs of premium Gyokuros and Senchas.

The origin of the tea

Our KUMANO combines tea leaves and stems cultivated using different traditional Japanese methods. It includes Gyokuro, a green tea shaded for several weeks under special nets, known for its intense "umami" flavor. Additionally, it contains Sencha which is grown under Japan's sun. The result is a perfectly balanced premium tea that reflects Japanese craftsmanship.
