The more oxidized the tea, the hotter the water should be for brewing to get the best flavor. For fully oxidized black tea, higher temperatures help bring out its intense and malty aromas.

The processing of the tea

Carefully hand-plucked, the tea leaves undergo a special refinement process. After being processed into black tea, the leaves are smoked with guava wood and leaves, giving the tea its characteristically bold, smoky flavour. The precise smoking process remains a well-guarded secret.
