Sustainability is a goal many brands pin to their mast – or at least did, back when it was on-trend and helped shift product. Not so at PAPER & TEA. For us, sustainability is a deeply rooted conviction. It guides everything: our choice of raw materials, our partners, our design. In short, it shapes every decision we make. So whenever we can, we ask ourselves: can we do this even more sustainably? This time, the answer lies in our redesigned tea blends packaging. Beautiful to look at – and beautifully sustainable. Curious about what that has to do with material and shape? Let us fill you in.

Metal tins: Not quite the perfect fit
Until now, you’ve known our tea blends in round tins, partly made of metal. Lovely as they were, there was room for improvement when it came to sustainability. So, we’ve said goodbye to the “heavy metal”. From now on, our tea blends come in square paper packaging. The new shape traps less air, stacks more efficiently, and is significantly lighter. All of this means more efficient transport – and fewer emissions. The new paper packs are also 95% recyclable, conserving valuable resources. A win-win-win for everyone, especially the planet. And it’s not just the packaging that’s become more sustainable – the design has, too.

Long live longevity
Yes, design can be sustainable as well – through pared-back shapes and timeless colours that don’t need refreshing every season. In fashion, this idea is reflected in a “capsule wardrobe”: a minimal, versatile collection of favourite pieces chosen with care, saving time, reducing waste, and still offering plenty of options. Our new packaging works on the same principle. The design is calmer, cleaner, more refined, and focuses on what really matters: our high-quality organic teas and their lovingly crafted blends.

Same tea, new energy!
Because we don’t do things by halves at PAPER & TEA, three of your favourite blends are getting new names as part of the packaging update.
- The organic green tea blend Bollywood now appears as Mango Chai and you find the former Mint Julep as Green Vibes Only on the shelves.
- Our organic fruit tea Pink Grasshopper is now called Berry Good Mood and the Fruity Jungle becomes Tropical Honeybush.
- And the organic fennel-forward herbal blend Tummy Kiss becomes Fantastic Fennel.
Worried the recipe has changed too? Not at all. The natural taste you know – and love – stays exactly the same. Only the names have changed to better reflect our attitude: positive, clear, and current.

Sustainable, thoughtful – and essential
We believe change is only right when it truly makes sense. Our new tea blends packaging is a visible reminder that responsibility, design, and enjoyment don’t have to compete – they can complement each other perfectly. Cheers to that!
